Goddess Durga Slaying an Asura
This Stotra is an ode to the Goddess Durga, the valorous aspect of the Mother Goddess, Shakti. It is described by Shri P. G. Krishnamoorthy as "eighteen verses that condense the essence of the Devi Mahatmyam."
The Durga Chandrakalasthuthi is recited for strength to bear difficult times as well as the power to overcome them.
